What is a music release plan?
A music release plan turns preparation, promotion and follow-up into a schedule. This planner works backward from release day for assets, research and pitching, then adds post-release checkpoints. It creates a starting point you can adapt to your own capacity.
How to use your checklist
- Choose your release date and format. If the song is already out, use its actual date.
- Build the plan. Earlier milestones are clearly marked so you can decide what to skip or reschedule.
- Edit the task notes and check off completed work.
- Download a CSV for a spreadsheet or an ICS file to import into your calendar. Importing again can create duplicates in some calendar apps.
